Present Day Scarborough Castle.

The castle site, a scheduled ancient monument managed by English Heritage since 1984, is host to various events held usually in the summer, such as pirate and Robin Hood-themed activities.

The castle grounds are reputed to be haunted – by three ghosts, among them a Roman soldier.
